Next: MRvcmt or glastpack?

At this point, you should have installed the necessary software and configured the environment for your platform.

Next, you will want to be able to build and compile SAS software using the Configuration Management Tool (CMT). CMT can be configured using MRvcmt, a front-end graphical user interface (GUI); or, if you are a developer and have a Linux machine, you can also configure CMT using a command line utility called glastpack.

In summary , you have the following choices::

  • If you are using a Windows machine: proceed to the MRvcmt menu items.
  • If you are a developer and using a Linux machine: you have two choices; you can proceed to the:
    • MRvcmt menu items, or
    • glastpack menu items
